A
three-day celebration to celebrate the WW II heroes of the Battle of
Britain. Aces and pilots from both sides of the war, Germany, Hungary and
Britain, were brought together to share their views of fighting for their
country. Events included a Symposium, Sit down dinner for 500 guests, and
a British Wings and Wheels day with more than 200 British automobiles and
more than a dozen British and German aircraft. Proceeds benefited the
Museum of Flying.

Black Tie Gala celebrating 150 years of the heritage and the Sisters of
Little Company of Mary Hospital. Proceeds benefited the building of a new
medical wing.

Cars and a collection of rare British airplanes were on display together.
The end-of the day finale included a flight of the Spitfire Mk IX,
Hurricane, Tiger Moths and Gipsy Moths. British food and music kept
spectators entertained.

than two hundred Mustang automobiles are paired up a dozen with
their
namesake – rare WW II Mustang airplanes,
and
even Mustang
motorcycles. Additionally, famous WWII Mustang pilot Lee
Archer, Tuskegee
Airmen, and Bob Hoover spoke throughout the day. Proceeds
benefited the
Museum of Flying.

tennis tournament was a fund-raiser for the Kayne-Eras Center – a school
for children at risk. Celebrities included Carl Reiner, Sid Caesar,
Nanette Fabrey, Dick Van Dyke, Ron Masak, and Fritz Coleman.

annual fund-raiser for Navy Relief – an organization which benefits
Naval families in need. The golf tournament brought together the outside
business community with active-duty officers for a day of camaraderie and
fun.

WW II Fighter Aces / Pilots
and Bomber Pilots,

Hawthorne Airport, CA
Held
at Hawthorne Airport, this event brought together WW II fighter pilots and
bomber pilots to talk about their contribution to the war. Additionally,
the WW II airplanes that they flew were on display – both fighters and
bombers including a B-17 Flying Fortress, P-40 Warhawk, P-38 Lightening,
P-51 Mustang and N9M Flying Wing. Proceeds benefited the Western Museum of
Flight Aviation Museum.

Spectators
enjoyed a day listening to these WW II heroes, who are considered by some
to be the greatest heroes of all times. Dozens of Tuskegee Airmen were
available for book signings and poster signings. Colonel Lee Archer and
Dr. Roscoe Brown, both Tuskegee Aces, were also in attendance. The day
ended with the flight of a P-51 Mustang, the WWII fighter that both Brown
and Archer became aces in.

AVG Flying Tigers / China

These
legendary heroes regaled their stories of how they flew as mercenaries
during WWII to save China from defeat. A full afternoon symposium with
both the AVG Flying Tigers and Burma Hump Pilots, followed by book
signings and a flight of a P-40 Warhawk – WW II fighter that the Flying
Tigers flew. Chinese Ambassador An was an invited guest as well to
pay tribute to these brave heroes.
